Bangkok II

Chilling poolside drinking some Asahis.  They don’t sell beer in 7-11 from 3-5 PM for some strange reason.

I bought this voltage converter earlier, but it only stepped the voltage up instead of stepping it down as required.  I tried to use my clippers anyways, despite the horrifying sounds it was making.  About halfway through they got really hot and smelt like burnt plastic.  My head is now half clipped as I lay here in a lounge chair.  I’m wearing a black Benny Gold muscle shirt, and a USA flag bathing suit.

I just did a quick workout in the pool gym here.  Pretty poor gym, to be expected from any poolside gym.  The weights only went up to 20 KG.

We went to Terminal 21, which is a huge mall with each floor themed after a different international city.  There was a floor for London, Paris, San Francisco, and Tokyo.  The shops on those floors also corresponded to the country theme.

We ate breakfast at “Green Corner” in the condo complex for like $2 a person.  We walked around Sukhumvit and on Soi 7 ½ there were some strange brothels like one named “Dr. BJ’s”.  A suspected ladyboy was trying to hold onto me as I was walking down the street.  “Boom boom, for free!” She kept saying to me.  I had to keep walking and take her hands off of me as we left the street.

The trip so far has been chill.  We are checking into “Bodega Hostel” today.  Heard of it from the bartender of some place off Sukhumvit Soi 23.  I need to buy new clippers now.
